Job Description

The ideal candidate will hold an MBA with at least 4 years of relevant experience in insurance-related matters or be a fresh CA/ACMA.

Candidates having a Diploma in Insurance will be given preference.

  • Evaluate the organization's exposure to loss from various causes and determine the probable amount of loss.
  • Analyze proposals from insurance companies, identify areas for deletion or attachment of riders, and obtain revised proposals for comparison.
  • Develop recommendations for insurance cover for various assets and employees, securing approval from the relevant authority.
  • Coordinate with asset custodians to obtain information about asset condition and material changes, informing the insurance company accordingly.
  • Research and suggest types of insurance cover for imported goods, recommending strategies for securing coverage.
  • Collaborate with the Procurement Department to secure insurance cover for consignments, reviewing tender evaluation reports and ensuring compliance with Public Procurement Rules (PPR) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Supervise the processing of service contracts and ensure accurate validation of cash payments in accordance with guidelines.
  • Participate in vendor pre-qualification processes and liaise with authorities for claim filing related to loss on imported consignments.
  • Coordinate with user departments for obtaining vehicle details and inform insurance companies of any additions or deletions.
  • Obtain employee details from HR and advise insurance companies of any changes to life, health, accident, or other types of cover.
