Purchasing Executive Role

This position supports the procurement process by sourcing suppliers, managing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. It also builds strong alliances with key suppliers, negotiates best value, and delivers improved outcomes for the business while maintaining service integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Procure products & services at target price points through collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Negotiate pricing and supply contracts to secure best deals.
  • Evaluate products & supplies for fitness for purpose.
  • Set up product information in relevant systems to streamline purchase requisitions.
  • Ensure timely supplier delivery of goods.
  • Resolve purchasing-related complaints & problems.
  • Maintain positive vendor relationships.
  • Address product feedback from stakeholders and resolve issues.
  • Identify substitute or alternative sources of supply for urgent needs and future requirements.
  • Make professional decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Keep accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
  • Review vendors, supply, and price options.
  • Update lists of suppliers with qualifications, delivery times, and future development potential.
  • Work with team members and the Supply Chain Head to fulfill responsibilities.
  • Adhere to workplace safety, security, and health policies and procedures.
  • Understand and follow procurement policies and procedures.
  • Deliver strategic, efficient, and flexible procurement services to achieve optimal value for money, cost savings, and high-quality service.
  • Complete any additional tasks assigned by the manager or department head.
