Job Title:

Country Manager, Pakistan

We are seeking an experienced consumer financial services professional to lead the expansion of our business in Pakistan.

Our company is East Africa's largest provider of smartphone-based credit scoring and short-term unsecured direct lending using mobile money. We are expanding at a rapid rate.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify and develop business partnerships with mobile network operators, mobile money operators, and financial services sectors.
  • Evaluate and lead strategic business opportunities, working with senior staff to revise and expand product offerings.
  • Lead local teams and oversee operations, customer service, and technical functions.
  • Report directly to CEO and work with global company leads.
Requirements:
  • A proven track record of leading medium-to-large teams and driving business growth.
  • Business development and partnerships experience in mobile network operators, mobile money operators, and financial services sectors.
  • Experience leading consumer financial service products, preferably mobile products.
  • A strong network of contacts amongst mobile money operators, mobile network operators, banks, e-commerce companies, and other Internet and financial service providers.
  • Ability to oversee technical, marketing, customer service, and operations teams.
  • Extensive experience recruiting, hiring, and mentoring staff to build exceptional teams.

  • Confidence stemming from a long track-record of business growth and success.
  • A casual and formal communication style, both in person and in writing.
  • Natural leadership and mentoring abilities.
  • Fluent English and Urdu language skills; familiarity with regional dialects (Punjabi, Sindhi, Pashto) is a plus.
