About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Unity developer to join our team. As a senior Unity developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing Unity-based games with a focus on multiplayer functionality and client-based work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement multiplayer functionality for Unity-based games, including networking, matchmaking, and synchronization.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in multiplayer game development, and incorporate new technologies and techniques into our projects.
  • Collaborate with designers, artists, and other developers to create immersive and engaging gameplay experiences.
  • Utilize Unity's client-server architecture to implement features such as player authentication, data storage, and real-time communication.
  • Optimize game performance for various platforms, including PC, console, and mobile devices, by identifying and addressing bottlenecks in code and assets.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers, helping them grow their skills and expertise in Unity development.
  • Work closely with QA testers to identify and resolve bugs and issues in a timely manner, ensuring a polished and stable gameplay experience for end users.
  • Collaborate with project managers to define project requirements, scope, and timelines, and ensure that milestones are met on schedule.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-4 years of professional experience in game development using Unity.
  • Proficiency in C# programming language and Unity's scripting API.
  • Strong understanding of multiplayer game networking concepts, such as client-server architecture, latency optimization, and authoritative server logic.
  • Experience with mobile game development for iOS and Android platforms.
  • Passion for gaming and a strong portfolio of personal or professional game projects.
  • Experience with version control systems, such as Git, and collaboration tools like Jira or Trello.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software products on time and within budget.
