About the Role:
  • We are seeking a Commercial Sales Specialist to join our team in a Full-time position, focusing on the Sales and Engineering function within various industries.

This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with local sales organizations and customers to determine suitable solutions that meet their technical and cost requirements. You will assist in preparing demanding offers, provide technical support during meetings, presentations, negotiations, and product/service training.

The successful candidate will have strong technical and commercial knowledge of engineering equipment sales, preferably with 1-3 years of experience in Technical Commercial Sales as a Sales Engineer or in a similar role. Familiarity with ERP systems, especially SAP, and experience with web-based bid creation are also essential.

You will be responsible for establishing costs for proposed solutions and communicating these to the sales team, providing information for risk assessments in accordance with company policy, and participating in risk review processes when required.

Additionally, you will analyze customer needs and competitor offers using market information and sales insights, identify reasons for lost proposals, and suggest future strategies in collaboration with sales and local business units.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Sales Support: Collaborate with local sales organizations and customers to determine suitable solutions that meet their technical and cost requirements.
  • Offer Preparation: Assist in preparing demanding offers and develop or support the preparation of technical and commercial offers based on customer specifications, local directives, and sales team guidance.
  • Cost Definitions: Establish costs for proposed solutions and communicate these to the sales team.
  • Risk Review: Provide information for risk assessments in accordance with company policy and participate in risk review processes when required.
  • Competitive Analysis: Analyze customer needs and competitor offers using market information and sales insights.
  • Lost Proposals Analysis: Identify reasons for lost proposals, analyze potential causes, and suggest future strategies in collaboration with sales and local business units.
Key Qualifications:
  • Strong technical and commercial knowledge of engineering equipment sales.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, especially SAP, and experience with web-based bid creation.
  • Knowledge of the power plant and engineering sales markets is advantageous.
