Job Title: Senior Ruby on Rails Web Developer

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced senior Ruby on Rails web developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, with a focus on building scalable and efficient web applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of complex Ruby codebases that meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable features using Ruby on Rails.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code that adheres to industry best practices.
  • Integrate front-end elements with server-side logic to create seamless user experiences.
  • Optimize application performance and address bugs and bottlenecks through proactive monitoring and debugging.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of Ruby language and object-oriented programming principles.
  • Experience with RSpec or similar testing frameworks.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and jQuery.
  • Experience in building interactive, user-focused web applications.
  • Good knowledge of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
  • Working knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
  • Understanding of MVC, ORM, RESTful APIs, and design patterns.
  • Experience with Git or other version control systems.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.).
  • Experience with code linters, performance monitoring, and debugging tools.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
