Lead Developer for Software Teams

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering is required.

The Lead Developer will oversee a team of developers and engineers designing and developing IoT applications and cognitive solutions using IBM Bluemix and Watson.

  • iOS and Android developers to create native mobile apps
  • Node.js developers to build web app backends
  • Designers to craft user experience designs
  • Front-end developers to create hybrid apps using Cordova
  • Hardware engineers to work on IoT sensors and devices
Key Responsibilities:

This role demands extensive research and development. The lead must understand complex computer science concepts, conduct thorough research, devise problem-solving strategies, and guide the team to implement these solutions.

The lead is expected to provide detailed solution architectures and produce precise documentation that internal and external developers can use to build software components.

They are responsible for staying up-to-date on the latest industry innovations and leveraging them to enhance our products.

Responsible for establishing software development processes that ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and predictability of team outputs. These processes define standard roles and conventions for Agile software development, source control tools, coding standards, release management strategies, continuous integration processes, and QA strategies.

Support the Senior Technical Project Manager with technology budget estimations and contract negotiations.

Collaborate with the Operations Lead to resolve high-level technical issues in production.

Job Requirements
  • 7+ years of software development experience
  • 2+ years of managing teams in an Agile environment
  • Experience designing REST APIs
