Job Title : Expert Information Security

Grade Level: L2
Location: Islamabad

Seeking a seasoned information security expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of experience in a Fintech organization. The role reports to Manager Information Security and Governance.Responsibilities
  • Conduct security assessments of applications, networks, and systems to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation.
  • Manage and implement ISO:27001, PCI DSS standards, and relevant frameworks.
  • Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and experience in implementing security controls to mitigate those risks.
  • Provide guidance and support to development teams to ensure that applications are developed with security in mind.
  • Work with web application firewalls (WAFs) and API gateways.
  • Develop and implement information security policies and procedures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data and systems.
  • Monitor and analyse security logs to detect and respond to security incidents.
  • Stay current with the latest security threats and trends, and recommend appropriate security controls.
  • Perform compliance activities aligned with SBP regulations and frameworks to ensure regulatory adherence.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, coordinate with stakeholders, and work on timely remediation of audit observations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a Fintech organization.
  • Strong knowledge of security principles and best practices, including secure coding, threat modelling, and penetration testing.
  • Experience with security testing tools and frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Relevant security certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, etc.) is a plus.
