Job Summary
Civil Engineers play a crucial role in ensuring the structural integrity and safety of buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure projects. In this position, you will be responsible for providing technical engineering information to contractors, interpreting plans and specifications, and resolving conflicts between drawings and specifications.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Provide technical engineering support to contractors, including the interpretation of plans, detail sheets, and specifications.
  2. Resolve conflicts between architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings and specifications by consulting with senior engineers and coordinating solutions with sub-trades.
  3. Accurately report quantities for labor cost reports and monitor material ledgers to determine if sufficient quantities remain to complete the project.
  4. Perform layout work competently, accurately, and efficiently as part of the project team.
  5. Coordinate inspections with senior engineers and authorities as required by the contract.
  6. Inspect false work for conformance to design drawings.
  7. Monitor the installation of rebar for conformance to structural drawings.
  8. Assist the project manager in enforcing quality control and expediting subcontractors.
  9. Update drawings with changes issued by senior engineers.
  10. Review shop drawings for conformance with the contract and communicate information to project staff and the project manager.
  11. Identify and recommend solutions for contract document conflicts.
  12. Ensure construction work complies with all engineering standards, codes, specifications, and design instructions.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods and management principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in software applications relevant to civil engineering.
