Automotive Technologist

Job Summary:

The role of the Automotive Technologist involves performing routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, ensuring that all work is done to the highest standards. This includes oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and other standard services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose mechanical issues using tools and equipment, identifying causes of problems and determining the best repair solutions.
• Repair or replace vehicle components as needed, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
• Conduct vehicle inspections to assess and identify potential safety issues or parts that may need repair or replacement.
• Communicate repair needs and costs with the Workshop Supervisor.
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including services, repairs, and parts used.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Automotive Technologist (2+ years preferred).
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, and braking systems.
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical problems effectively.
• Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting heavy parts and tools as required.
