Technical Director Nutrition And Food Fortification

The Technical Director is responsible for providing high-level leadership to the design and implementation of key technical components for national food fortification in a challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead technical components for national food fortification programme
  • Provide advocacy, public and private sector quality control and assurance for food fortification and food safety
  • Support Team Leader in ensuring effective implementation of programme and achievement of objectives and milestones
Essential Criteria
  • Relevant post-graduate technical degree (PhD preferred)
  • Minimum 15 years experience in public health/nutrition/fortification
  • At least 5 years spent working specifically on food fortification (wheat flour and oil/ghee fortification an advantage)
  • Proven technical leadership and management skills with ability to lead teams
  • Previous successful senior management experience with large programmes
