Job Title: HSE Manager for Risk Mitigation

Description:

We are seeking an experienced professional to assume the role of HSE Manager for Risk Mitigation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective risk mitigation strategies to ensure a safe working environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the establishment, maintenance, implementation, and improvement of the HSE Management System.
  • Defining HSE objectives and liaising with clients, third-party subcontractors, and agencies regarding HSE.
  • Generating and implementing local standards and procedures, assessing local risks, and preparing HSE plans to minimize risks and ensure compliance with policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Implementing HSE plans, setting up controls to verify proper implementation, and maintaining related records.
  • Conducting management review meetings to assess the effectiveness of the HSE Management System and identify required improvements.
  • Advising management on corrective actions required and coordinating the screening and training of all personnel, including subcontractors.
  • Staying updated on new developments, policies, and standards related to HSE and informing management accordingly.
  • Evaluating the compliance of the local HSE program with local and national regulations and participating in liaising with third-party subcontractors, clients, and local agencies regarding HSE.
  • Participating in HSE audits and investigations of major non-conformances and accidents.
  • Developing and maintaining a high level of awareness among personnel through communications, training, and personal involvement in HSE.
  • Recommending changes to the HSE program and ensuring regular updating of personal certifications and attending to personal training as required.
  • Developing HSE training matrices and carrying out all HSE training and incident investigations.

Requirements:

  • A Master's Degree would be preferred.
  • NEBOSH IGC certification.
  • Lead Auditor ISO 14001 and Lead Auditor OHSAS 18001 certifications.
  • At least three years of experience in training and consultancy organizations.

Skills:

  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent time management and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
