About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Data Engineer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals who are passionate about data engineering, big data technologies, and building scalable data pipelines.

In this role, you will work with experienced engineers to develop, optimize, and maintain data infrastructure, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet the needs of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Pipeline Development: Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using industry-leading tools and technologies.
  • Data Integration: Work with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources to ensure data availability and integrity.
  • Database Optimization: Optimize database queries and data processing for performance and efficiency.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Data Modeling: Implement data models and schemas for analytical and operational use cases.
  • Data Governance: Support data governance, security, and compliance efforts to ensure the integrity of our data assets.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and debug data-related issues, ensuring data quality and consistency.
  • Staying Current: Stay updated with the latest advancements in data engineering and big data technologies.
Qualification Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills:
    Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
    Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
    Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL frameworks.
    Familiarity with big data technologies like Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka is a plus.
    Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data services.
    Basic understanding of version control tools (Git) and CI/CD processes.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Internship Experience: Internship or project experience in data engineering is required.
  • Data Pipeline Orchestration: Knowledge of data pipeline orchestration tools (Apache Airflow, Prefect, etc.) is essential.
  • Data Visualization: Familiarity with data visualization and analytics tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) is beneficial.
