Key Responsibilities

The Data Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and integrate data from various sources.

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines that are scalable, secure, and performant.
  • Implementing real-time data streaming and batch processing solutions to support diverse business needs.
  • Building and optimizing data storage solutions, including data lakes, data warehouses, and databases.
  • Cleaning, transforming, and preparing raw data into usable formats for analytics and machine learning.
  • Collaborating with Data Scientists and Analysts to define data requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Monitoring the performance and reliability of data pipelines and systems, implementing improvements where necessary.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Implementing and enforcing data quality checks, validation processes, and monitoring mechanisms.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of data integration, streaming, and storage technologies.
  • Experience with big data tools such as Hadoop, Spark, or Flink.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms such as AWS or GCP.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
