Stone Age Technologies SIA is seeking a skilled Magento Developer to join our e-commerce team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining and upgrading e-commerce websites using the Magento platform.

Responsibilities:
  • E-commerce Platform Development: Designing, developing and refining Magento-based e-commerce platforms and extensions.
  • Code Optimization: Writing clean, efficient and well-documented code to guarantee smooth operation of online stores.
  • Tech Support: Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with Magento-based systems.
  • System Updates: Maintaining and updating Magento websites to the latest versions.
  • Integration and Customization: Integrating Magento with external applications and services, and customizing themes, templates and overall design of Magento-based websites.
  • Database Management: Creating and managing databases to support e-commerce operations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve complex problems.
  • Security and Performance: Ensuring website security, performance and overall user experience.
Requirements:
  • A strong understanding of Magento architecture, development best practices and industry trends.
  • Experience working with Magento 2.x and its associated technologies.
  • Proficiency in MySQL database management and other related tools.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Education and Experience:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Magento Developer, preferably in an e-commerce context.
  • Magento certification is highly desirable.
Working Conditions:
  • This is a full-time position, typically Monday through Friday.
  • May require occasional work outside of normal business hours.
  • Travel may be necessary from time to time.
  • Work can be performed in an office or remote setting.
