Medical Billing Data Entry Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled data entry specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical billing and be proficient in data entry skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for transferring data from paper formats into computer files or database systems, verifying data by comparing it to source documents, and retrieving data from the database or electronic files as requested.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards
  2. Type in data provided directly from customers
  3. Verify data by comparing it to source documents
  4. Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested
Requirements:
  • Fast typing skills; knowledge of touch typing system is strongly preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices
  • Basic understanding of databases
  • Good command of English both oral and written, along with customer service skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Medical Billing Experience is Preferred
Work Environment:

This position requires excellent communication and organizational skills. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently and as part of a team. Regular backups will be performed to ensure data preservation.
