Financial Operations Role

The Financial Operations Specialist plays a pivotal role in managing various financial duties, encompassing general accounting, accounts payable and accounts receivable. This position oversees outgoing bills and invoices, as well as incoming payments.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and issuing customer invoices and account statements.
  • Issuing vendor settlements.
  • Assisting with the application of cash and preparation of bank deposits.
  • Matching invoices and purchase orders.
  • Verifying payment status with carriers.

In addition, the Financial Operations Specialist:

  • Identifies delinquent accounts and insufficient payments; collects revenue by reminding delinquent accounts, and notifying customers of insufficient payments.
  • Processes invoices to ensure information is current and up-to-date.
  • Reviews financial information and assists in preparing weekly reports.
Key Skills

This role requires strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience:

An Associate's Degree in Accounting, Business or a related field, along with a minimum of 2 years' experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable, is required. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

Previous experience within the transportation industry is advantageous.
