Job Overview

  • Network Security Expertise

As a Network Security Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing network security measures to ensure the highest level of protection for our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement, maintain, and enhance security protocols to safeguard our network.
  • Manage a network consisting of over 200 nodes, guaranteeing seamless connectivity and performance.
  • Oversee MS Exchange 2007 email accounts for efficient communication within the organization.
  • Handle firewalls, internet connections, routers, layer 3 switches, layer 2 switches, and VPNs to ensure stable network operations.
  • Provide end-user assistance with software, printers, and server installations, promoting smooth workflows.
  • Install and configure systems clients and servers, facilitating data migration and minimizing downtime.
  • Gather and consolidate monthly reports from local IT staff at each branch or region, enabling informed decision-making.
  • Plan and implement changes in a controlled manner, minimizing risks and system outages.
  • Ensure timely software updates and version control for network software, including distribution and deployment.
  • Monitor and maintain software and hardware assets, ensuring they are up-to-date and functioning correctly.
  • Conduct regular testing and monitoring of failover configurations to guarantee high availability.
  • Manage and administer central IP/CR tracking sheets, providing accurate insights into network activity.
  • Plan, maintain, and supervise cabling operations at corporate offices and remote branches/warehouses.
  • Administer Trend Micro services for the head office and provide support to other branches/regions.
  • Set up and manage user accounts efficiently.
  • Oversee company-wide software licenses, ensuring compliance and optimal use.
  • Manage video conferencing systems, facilitating effective remote communication.
  • Monitor network performance using MRTG tools, identifying potential issues before they occur.
  • Utilize PRTG, SNMP, and network monitors to ensure comprehensive network management.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for various procedures, promoting standardization and efficiency.
  • Maintain robust security measures, particularly when networks connect to the internet, protecting against potential threats.

Job Requirements

  • Microsoft Certified Professional certification is desired.
  • CISCO Certification is highly preferred.
  • A Computer Science Graduate degree is required.
  • Excellent people handling and relationship skills, enabling effective collaboration and communication.
