Indirect Tax Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Indirect Tax professional to join our team. As an expert in customs duty advisory, you will be responsible for providing tailored advice to clients on VAT treatment of new and complex transactions.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Customs Law and its practical application across various countries. You will work closely with a team of VAT professionals to combine diverse cross-border transaction experience with local tax knowledge across a broad spectrum of industries.

You will also be responsible for identifying and discussing VAT considerations for clients to be aware of in their outbound investments, as well as preparing for the potential introduction of VAT in different countries and discussing how this may impact clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on customs duty and VAT matters
  • Collaborate with colleagues in overseas offices to deliver VAT advice in respect of global jurisdictions
  • Prepare reports and schedules for delivery to clients and other parties
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel and internal teams
Requirements

To qualify for this role, you must have a degree in economics, finance, tax or accounting and at least two years of relevant experience as an Indirect Tax professional. Experience working for a Big 4 accounting firm is preferred, but we will consider candidates from law firms or with relevant industry experience.

Candidates should possess excellent problem-solving skills, strong organizational and project management skills, as well as the ability to prioritize shifting workloads in a rapidly changing industry.
