Senior Java Developer - Job Overview

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Senior Java Developer to join our team. As a senior developer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing system integrations between our internal products and third-party applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define integration requirements in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
  • Lead technical discussions to determine integration strategies and ensure compatibility between systems.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for integration-related queries from external and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure that third-party integrations adhere to security guidelines and compliance requirements.
  • Document API specifications, integration workflows, and data mapping details for clarity and alignment.
  • Ensure scalability, security, and reliability of integration solutions.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture, encouraging knowledge sharing, open communication, and continuous learning among team members.
  • Resolve technical challenges and address issues that arise during the development process, leveraging expertise to find effective solutions and keep projects on track.
  • Work closely with other team members, including product owners, designers, and other developers, to translate project requirements into technical solutions.
  • Offer guidance and support to team members, helping them navigate technical challenges, understand complex concepts, and improve their skills.
  • Participate in agile planning and stand-up meetings as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 6+ years of experience with Java, with a strong focus on system integrations.
  • 6+ years of experience developing and maintaining web applications.
  • 6+ years of experience with developing and maintaining RESTful APIs, SOAP, and Microservices architecture, Relational databases, JSON, XML, XSD, and XSL, Git.
  • 6+ years of experience with testing web applications and enterprise software through manual and automated techniques/unit test frameworks.
  • 2+ years of experience with cloud technologies.
