Job Title: HL7 Integration Specialist

Overview:

  • We are seeking a skilled professional to design, develop, and maintain robust healthcare data exchange solutions using HL7 standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain interfaces using Mirth Connect for the exchange of healthcare data.
  • Implement HL7 v2.x, v3, CCD/C-CDA standards in integration projects.
  • Write and debug JavaScript code within Mirth channels and transformations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to understand integration requirements.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve interface issues in a timely manner.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with HL7 messaging standards (v2.x, v3, CCD/C-CDA).
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript (as used within Mirth Connect).
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Mirth Connect (NextGen Connect).
  • Experience with TCP/IP, LLP, HTTP/S, REST, and SOAP protocols.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with EHR/EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Allscripts).
  • Familiarity with FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources).
  • Knowledge of databases (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server) and SQL scripting.
  • Experience working in HIPAA-compliant environments.
