The Veon Group's Service Delivery Department within the Finance Division relies heavily on the Management Reporting team for both internal management reporting and external financial reporting. This team is a key component in ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare standalone and consolidated financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Companies Act on a quarterly and annual basis, adhering to stringent regulatory requirements.
  2. Perform complex consolidation and eliminate intercompany transactions and balances to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  3. Develop cash-flow statements for internal management reporting purposes, providing valuable insights into the company's financial position.
  4. Manage Group reporting through Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), streamlining the process and enhancing efficiency.
  5. Upload relevant data to HFM and prepare balance sheets and profit and loss statements for Group consolidation, facilitating informed decision-making.
  6. Upload balance sheet movements to HFM and generate cash-flow statements, enabling stakeholders to track the company's financial performance.
  7. Match intercompany balances and transactions with counterparts and identify and resolve discrepancies, ensuring the integrity of financial data.
  8. Prepare ad-hoc reports based on requirements from regulatory bodies such as Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) and other authorities, demonstrating the company's commitment to transparency and compliance.
  9. Ensure adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls, including documentation and reporting, to maintain the highest standards of governance and risk management.
  10. Provide support to external auditors during their review process, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting confidence in the company's financial reporting.
  11. Facilitate communication among stakeholders and respond to their inquiries in a timely manner, building trust and credibility.
  12. Extract and report Ad-hoc information requests from various internal and external departments, demonstrating the ability to adapt to changing needs.
  13. Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), driving excellence and continuous improvement.
  14. Implement new tools to automate processes and streamline workflows, enhancing productivity and reducing manual errors.
  15. Identify opportunities for digital initiatives and drive their implementation, leveraging technology to improve business outcomes.

Requirements:

Qualifications:
  1. Certified Accountant (CA) or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) certification with a minimum of 4 to 6 years of working experience, preferably in the Telecom industry.
  2. Sound knowledge of relevant International Accounting Standards (IAS), particularly IFRS.
  3. Experience in preparing financial statements, variance analysis, and handling large datasets, requiring strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  4. Understanding of the financial reporting and closing process, including the importance of deadlines and accuracy.
  5. Working experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, particularly Oracle and HFM, to manage and analyze complex financial data.
  6. Proficiency in MS Office tools, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, to create reports, presentations, and documents.
  7. Strong interpersonal communication and analytical skills to effectively interact with stakeholders and drive business results.
