Principal Architect - Scalable Systems

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Architect to lead the design and development of our scalable systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development, cloud platforms, and distributed systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for defining the architecture roadmap for our core platform, designing and optimizing low-latency, high-throughput distributed systems, and leveraging AI/ML to enhance automation, data mapping, and intelligent API connectivity.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to align business goals with technical execution, lead and mentor engineers, and foster a culture of technical excellence, knowledge-sharing, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Architecture Roadmap: Define and lead the architecture, scalability, and reliability roadmap for our core platform.
  • Distributed Systems: Design and optimize low-latency, high-throughput distributed systems capable of handling millions of transactions per second/minute.
  • AI/ML Integration: Leverage AI/ML to enhance automation, data mapping, and intelligent API connectivity.
  • Security Best Practices: Implement world-class security best practices across API authentication, data privacy, and regulatory compliance (SOC 2, GDPR, etc.).
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, knowledge-sharing, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in a Principal/Architect role in high-scale SaaS, API, or distributed systems.
  • Technical Skills: Deep expertise in backend development using Java, Python, or Node.js, strong understanding of high-performance, low-latency computing, caching strategies, and database optimization.
  • Cloud Platforms: Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and serverless architectures.
  • Event-Driven Architectures: Knowledge of event-driven architectures, message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.), and real-time data processing pipelines.
  • API Security: Expertise in API security, authentication (OAuth, JWT, OpenID), and compliance standards (SOC 2, GDPR, etc.).
