Senior UX Researcher Job Overview

A Senior UX Researcher is responsible for creating seamless, user-friendly and engaging digital experiences for websites, apps and digital products. This role focuses on understanding user behaviour, research and interaction design to enhance usability and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct user research, interviews and usability testing to understand user needs.
  2. Create wireframes, prototypes and user flows to visualize the user journey.
  3. Develop information architecture and interaction design for intuitive navigation.
  4. Collaborate with UI designers, developers and product managers to implement design solutions.
  5. Analyze data and feedback to improve product usability and functionality.
  6. Develop interactive prototypes to test user interactions before development.
  7. Gather feedback from stakeholders and team members to measure satisfaction levels.
  8. Measure how well the UI designer incorporates feedback into design iterations.
  9. Conduct design reviews to maintain high standards of design quality and usability.
  10. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions effectively.

Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  2. Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design projects.
  3. Ability to create seamless experiences across various devices and screen sizes.
  4. Experience in building and maintaining design systems for consistency.
  5. Working closely with UX designers, developers and product managers.
  6. Presenting and justifying design decisions to stakeholders.
  7. Designing with a focus on user needs, behaviours and feedback.
  8. Staying updated with the latest design trends, tools and technologies.
  9. 3-5 years in UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing digital product design.
  10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey design concepts and collaborate with team members.
  11. Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  12. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and adapt to feedback from various stakeholders.
  13. Experience in the financial services sector is a plus.
