Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Governance and Compliance Specialist to lead our risk management initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing risk management strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing expert guidance on security frameworks and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To develop comprehensive risk management strategies that align with organizational objectives.
  • To conduct regular risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigation strategies.
  • To ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
  • To provide expert guidance on security frameworks, including ISO 27001, PCI DSS, NIST, and CIS Controls.
  • To stay up-to-date on technological advancements in information security and industry trends.
  • To collaborate with infrastructure teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • To manage the assessment of web applications, mobile applications, APIs, and review technical reports/recommendations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cyber Security.
  • Masters in Cyber Security preferred.
  • At least 8 years of post-graduation experience, with at least 3 years in Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance roles.
  • Certification in ISO-27001, CISA, and CGEIT preferred.

Essential Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, threat landscapes, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors.
  • Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies, risk identification, risk analysis, risk mitigation strategies, IS Policy formulation, writing of SOPs and instructions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for conveying information regarding security and compliance to various stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess complex information security risks, evaluate compliance gaps, and develop effective solutions.
