Role Overview

Assistant Product Copywriter Position

We are seeking a skilled Assistant Product Copywriter to join our Creative Marketing team. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to write clear and concise product copy for our website and marketing campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create engaging and effective retail product copy, using our standardized product guide and brand voice
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop key product initiatives and communicate them through consumer-friendly copy
  • Ensure that product copy on our website is accurate and up-to-date at all times
  • Track product copy progress, samples and upcoming deadlines

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Writing, Communications or related field
  • Excellent grammar and proofing skills
  • 1-2 years of experience in product copywriting
  • Knowledge of the retail industry
  • Ability to write fast and accurate product descriptions
  • Patience and creative flexibility to revise work and take on new projects as directed

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong proofreading and research skills
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; InDesign and Photoshop a plus
  • Knowledge of various media channels
  • Internet savvy, particularly in e-tailing and email marketing trends

About this Role:

This role is part of our Creative Marketing team and collaborates closely with cross-channel partners, including designers, merchants, and digital marketing teams. As an Assistant Product Copywriter, you will be responsible for assisting the copy team with writing and proofreading content across customer-facing brand experiences.
