Masters' degree in Supply Chain, logistics, or a related field may be required for this position.

  • This role involves communicating with suppliers to arrange proper documentation on time and getting confirmation from the clearing agent for smooth clearing operations.
  • The Import/Export Manager will be responsible for coordinating with banks and insurance companies to open Letters of Credit (LC).
  • An important aspect of this job is negotiating document retirements with banks.
  • Weekly shipment status reports must be reviewed and shared with the sales department to ensure seamless communication.
  • The manager will also be responsible for updating the sales team weekly about upcoming materials and providing instructions for consignment unloading to the appropriate warehouse.
  • An Electronic Import Form (EIF) must be arranged by the Import Manager.
  • Final costing management is another key responsibility of this role.
  • The Import Manager will direct and supervise import assistant officers' tasks to ensure timely completion of duties.
  • Improving processes and policies with management is an ongoing task for this position.
  • Managing LC limit creation/renewal with banks is crucial for this role.
  • A performance report on the department's progress must be prepared, suggesting improvements to enhance profit margins.
  • Closely collaborating with senior department heads is necessary for the benefit of the organization.
  • Additional tasks assigned by the CEO may be performed by the Import Manager.
