Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Backend Software Engineer to lead our team in developing and maintaining complex backend applications using JavaScript and Node.js. The ideal candidate will leverage their understanding of programming languages and tools to analyze existing codebases, identify areas for improvement, and implement more efficient processes.

Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and maintain high-quality backend applications using JavaScript and Node.js.
  2. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, Developers, QA, Designers, and Data Scientists to deliver new features and improve existing ones.
  3. Architect and plan the development of new features, ensuring they meet business requirements and technical standards.
  4. Implement asynchronous programming techniques and workarounds as needed to ensure optimal application performance.
  5. Work with database systems such as MongoDB and MySQL to design and optimize data models.
  6. Use version control tools like Git proficiently to manage code repositories and collaborate with team members.
  7. Develop and consume REST and GraphQL APIs to integrate services and provide seamless user experiences.
  8. Debug, optimize, and improve application performance by analyzing logs and implementing fixes.
Requirements:
  1. Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.
  2. At least 4 years of experience as a Node.js (Express) or JavaScript developer.
  3. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  4. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple timelines and tasks efficiently.
