Research Associate, Human Development Programme Medical College Specialist

The Human Development Programme (HDP) aims to support human development through a multidisciplinary and research-based approach. We focus on early childhood as a period of life that lays the foundation for all future learning, development, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • We implement project activities according to project protocols, SOPs, expectations, and timelines.
  • We develop dietary guidelines manuals for nutrition counselling of children with nutritional disorders in consultation with the Principal Investigator.
  • We organize focus group discussions and in-depth interviews with stakeholders.
  • We consolidate data, maintain records, and backup collected data.
  • We evaluate data regularly, ensuring complete and correct data collection.
  • We collaborate with other project staff and provide support when needed.
  • We submit weekly project activity reports to the Principal Investigator and Co-Principal Investigator.
  • We prepare monthly reports for donor agencies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nutrition, Social Sciences, or Public Health is required.
  • At least two years of experience working in nutrition and research projects are necessary.
  • Experience in organizing and handling research projects, counselling techniques, and developing educational material on nutrition/Early Childhood Development is desirable.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English and Urdu are required; knowledge of Sindhi language is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and teamwork skills are essential.
  • Efficiency in work planning, quality assurance, monitoring, and report writing skills is required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, SPSS, and NVIVO is expected.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to study centres are necessary.
