Project Implementation

The Head of Projects Department will be responsible for the successful implementation of our projects, including monitoring and evaluation, and reporting. This involves:

  • Developing and implementing project work plans, ensuring regular participation in the Joint Management Committee (JMC).
  • Collaborating with the Programme Department to ensure effective project implementation and coordination.
  • Managing project budgets and expenditures, ensuring accurate reporting of project results.
  • Evaluating the quality and productivity of partners, recommending continuation, modification, or discontinuation of partnerships.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Social Sciences or a relevant discipline.
  • 5-10 years of experience in field development work with NGOs, preferably in Asia, and a minimum of 3 years as the Head of Projects Department or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing and monitoring/evaluation of projects, including logical framework and related indicators and reporting.
  • Knowledge of contracting and negotiating, analytical and organizational skills, and solid experience in budget oversight.
  • Strong staff management, interpersonal, and team leading skills, including transfer of knowledge and proven experience gained at examining and re-engineering policies, operations, and procedures.
  • Previous experience of relationship building with multilateral donors and partners, and a proven ability to interact with a multitude of stakeholders.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication and Urdu (and Pashto if possible) language skills.
