We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to play a key role in our team.
- Conduct thorough geotechnical investigations, including soil, rock, and groundwater studies for proposed construction sites.
- Perform soil sampling, testing, and analysis to determine bearing capacity, settlement, and soil classification.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and ground improvement techniques. They must be able to prepare high-quality geotechnical design reports with recommendations for foundations, retaining walls, slopes, embankments, and pavements.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for conducting slope stability, seepage, and settlement analysis using specialized software (PLAXIS, GeoStudio, etc.). They will provide technical input for the design of deep/shallow foundations, piles, ground improvement, and excavation support systems.
In addition, they will supervise and monitor site investigations, borehole drilling, field testing (SPT, CPT, Plate Load Test, etc.), and ensure compliance with local/international codes and standards (ASTM, AASHTO, BS, Eurocode).
Liaising with structural engineers, project managers, and contractors to provide geotechnical solutions is also a critical aspect of this role.
Troubleshooting geotechnical issues during construction and recommending remedial measures is essential for ensuring the success of our projects.
Maintaining proper documentation and preparing geotechnical study reports, risk assessments, and recommendations is also a key responsibility of this position.
