Construction Project Lead

The ideal candidate will oversee construction projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.

  • Lead project teams in planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Manage risk, identify potential issues, and develop mitigation strategies.
Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Reviewing and vetting tender documents, scope of work, and bills of quantities.
  2. Owning projects from pre-tendering stage to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
  3. Applying knowledge of building codes, designs, billing/estimation standards/methodologies.
  4. Managing risks to avoid delays or reputational damages.
  5. Maintaining awareness of all contracts in current use and working in compliance with quality assurance programs.
  6. Providing leadership and direction to team members to implement strategic decisions.
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, the candidate should have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a reputable institution.
  • Minimum 18-20 years of progressive field experience in Civil Engineering, with a focus on structural works, RCC works, infrastructure works, public health works/schemes, etc.
  • Strong understanding of relevant building codes, standards, and regulations, such as FIDIC, PEC Bidding Document & PPRA.
  • Ability to lead and motivate project teams effectively, with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications, including Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Excel, MS Autocad.
