Job Overview

The Deputy Production Manager plays a critical role in driving operational efficiency and maintaining quality excellence in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include creating and managing production schedules, monitoring daily activities, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Develop and implement efficient production plans to meet customer demands while adhering to DRAP regulations, GMP, and FDA standards.
  2. Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to address any quality-related issues or deviations.
  3. Train and manage production staff to maintain productivity, safety, and adherence to established procedures.
  4. Implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure cost-effective operations.
  5. Oversee machine maintenance, monitor raw material usage, and prepare regular production reports for senior management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Biomedical Engineering, or related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in production management, preferably in a pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing environment.

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with wound care dressings, pain relief patches, surgical bandages & tapes, sterilization processes (e.g., Electron Beam, Gamma Radiation).
  • Working and audit knowledge of GMP/ISO standards and DRAP regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in production planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent problem-solving / decision-making abilities as well as strong leadership and communication skills.
