Web Ecosystem Manager Job Description

This job involves leading a team responsible for the management of e-commerce websites, ensuring they are up-to-date and performing optimally.

  • Responsibilities include managing website content, adding or updating products, cultivating relationships with vendors to maintain timely website updates, and leveraging SEO, SEM, and SMO strategies to drive online presence.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Website Content Management: Manage e-commerce websites including adding, updating or deleting contents, pictures, links etc.
  2. Product Management: Add and delete products on the websites.
  3. Vendor Relationship Building: Cultivate relationships with vendors to maintain website updates in line with their terms & conditions.
  4. Online Presence Strategy: Leverage SEO, SEM, and SMO strategies to drive online presence which may involve on-page SEO optimization, keyword research and analysis, directory submissions, social bookmarking, blog commenting, content creation, building high-quality backlinks, analyzing marketing campaigns using web reporting tools, competitor analysis and site structure evaluation.

Required skills and qualifications include strong understanding of core SEO principles, experience with search engine mechanics, Magento, OpenCart, HTML/CSS, and Google Analytics, knowledge of white hat SEO/SEM methods, ability to develop strategies to increase website traffic and drive sales, excellent communication and project management skills.
