Senior Web Application Developer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and ambitious Senior Web Application Developer to join our fast-paced, fun, and rewarding agile team of professionals.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology, constantly seeking to learn and improve their skill set. They will have previous working experience as a PHP Developer for 1-2 years and a BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar relevant field.

  • Job Responsibilities:
  • Preparing and maintaining all applications utilizing standard development tools.
  • Utilizing backend data services and contributing to increase existing data services API.
  • Leading the entire web application development life cycle right from concept stage to delivery and post-launch support.
  • Refactoring, optimizing, and improving the existing codebase for maintenance and scale.
  • Using test-driven development and acceptance tests to ensure feature quality.
  • Interfacing with customer and internal teams to gather requirements and develop software solutions.
  • Conveying effectively with all task progress, evaluations, suggestions, schedules along with technical and process issues.
  • Documenting the development process, architecture, and standard components.
  • Coordinating with co-developers and keeping project managers well-informed of the status of development efforts and serving as liaison between development staff and project managers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Familiarity with limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds, experience with PHP MVC frameworks (Symfony, Laravel, CodeIgniter, Zend, etc.), excellent relational database skills with MySQL, experience with building restful JSON web services, knowledge of APIs, such as Twitter, Facebook, Google Maps, Instagram, etc., and understanding of responsive design frameworks such as Bootstrap.
