Senior Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced software engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in software development, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

About the Role

The senior software engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software applications using a range of technologies, including Typescript, SvelteKit, Docker, and Google Cloud Platform services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify requirements, design solutions, and implement features that meet business needs.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will also need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop software applications using Typescript, SvelteKit, Docker, and Google Cloud Platform services.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify requirements, design solutions, and implement features that meet business needs.
  • Conduct code reviews and perform feature testing to ensure quality.
  • Participate in a shared 24/7 support model to maintain system stability.
Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in software development, with at least 8 years of professional experience working with modern programming languages.
  • 5+ years of commercial experience with Typescript.
  • 5+ years experience building and supporting web APIs / services.
  • 3+ years experience working with modern frontend frameworks (Svelte, React, Angular, Vue.js).
  • Experience working with Infrastructure as Code technologies (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation etc.).
  • Proven ability to manage responsibilities independently and effectively in a fully remote setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
