Job Role: Visual Effects Specialist

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for crafting an array of authentic and imaginative visual effects for feature films. As a key member of the production team, you will need to demonstrate exceptional skill and attention to detail in all aspects of your work.

  • You will collaborate with the production team to ensure that the scope and scheduling of visual effects are accurately planned and executed.
  • With a deep understanding of key shots on a project, you will identify potential creative and technical challenges and provide expert advice to resolve them.
  • You will take ownership of producing high-quality 'hero' shots and develop effect templates and tools for the team to utilize.
  • In conjunction with the Head of Department and leads from multiple projects, you will review workflow and tools to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
Essential Skills:

To excel in this position, you will require:

  • Advanced shader writing skills to create complex visual effects
  • Proficiency in lighting and rendering techniques to achieve photorealistic results
  • Strong C++ coding skills to develop custom tools and scripts
