Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Communication Specialist to join our team. This role will involve developing and executing a communications strategy to promote our work in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

The ideal candidate will have outstanding verbal and written communication skills, as well as a strong understanding of communications approaches, tools, and methodologies.

Key responsibilities include planning, designing, and executing communications activities, building and managing professional relationships with key industry, government, development, and civil society groups, positioning IFC's Country Manager and project team leads as spokespersons and thought leaders, responding to routine and non-routine inquiries, and creating compelling proprietary content.

This role requires the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment, develop solid relationships with key stakeholders, and build partnerships.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a communications strategy to promote IFC's work in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
  • Build and manage professional relationships with key industry, government, development, and civil society groups.
  • Position IFC's Country Manager and project team leads as spokespersons and thought leaders.
  • Create compelling proprietary content.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree (or equivalent) in communications, political science, international relations, public relations/affairs, marketing, journalism, or any other related field.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of communications approaches, tools, and methodologies.
