We are seeking a skilled Senior Backend Developer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing custom WordPress plugins, themes, and complex backend solutions.

Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and maintain WordPress plugins and themes to ensure seamless functionality and high performance.
  2. Design and optimize databases (MySQL) for high-traffic websites.
  3. Integrate third-party APIs and services to enhance website capabilities.
  4. Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing WordPress websites to ensure they remain secure and up-to-date.
  5. Collaborate closely with front-end developers, designers, and project managers to achieve common goals.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
  2. 4+ years of WordPress backend development experience required.
  3. Strong expertise in PHP, MySQL, and WordPress core technologies.
  4. Proficiency in REST APIs, WP-CLI, and custom post types.
  5. Solid understanding of WordPress security best practices.
  6. Experience with Git version control essential.
  7. Familiarity with server management (e.g., cPanel, WHM, cloud hosting environments).
  8. Ability to optimize websites for speed and scalability.
  9. Knowledge of WooCommerce required.
Preferred Skills:
  1. Experience with headless WordPress architecture.
  2. Familiarity with Laravel or other PHP frameworks.
  3. Understanding of Docker and CI/CD pipelines beneficial.
Soft Skills:
  1. Strong problem-solving abilities required.
  2. Excellent communication and teamwork skills necessary.
  3. Attention to detail and a passion for quality essential.
Work Environment:
  • This is a full-time position available in an office setting.
