Accounting Manager Job Description

About the job:

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager who can coordinate with management for payment approvals, check preparations, and ensure compliance with all applicable organisations.

  • Excellent Bookkeeping is essential for maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are necessary for coordinating with team members and management.
  • Preparation of UK VAT returns and Annual accounts requires strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Written & Spoken English Skills are required for effective communication with clients and stakeholders.
  • Assisting senior and junior team members, overseeing ongoing maintenance of accounts, supporting management in the accurate production of budgets, and ensuring cashflow is utilised properly and protect reserves are key responsibilities.
  • Audit financial information for inconsistencies, providing tax planning strategies in accordance with existing legislation, and drafting letters, emails, and other necessary documents for correspondence are also essential tasks.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills are necessary for this role.
  • Understanding of accounting and financial processes, including MS Excel, is required.
  • Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), and Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) qualifications are highly desirable.
  • Experience in a UK based firm is essential.
