Job Overview:

The Chief Engineering Analyst plays a pivotal role in leading the Engineering team within a web-based environment. This position requires a strong technical background, ideally complemented by an MBA or a Master's degree in Project Management or a related field.

A minimum of 15 years of experience in Project Management, Contract Administration, Cost Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, and FIDIC with reputable organizations is essential for this role.

The ideal candidate will possess thorough knowledge of software applications widely used in the construction industry, particularly in a web-based environment. Strong Project Management skills and high proficiency in IT applications are crucial for success.

This leadership position involves managing and supervising staff, including Deputy Chief Analysts, Quantity Surveyors, Project Managers, Specialists, and other relevant personnel.

  1. Main Responsibilities:
  2. Reporting to the Executive Director, providing technical leadership, and overseeing the engineering team.
  3. Managing and supervising staff, including deputies, quantity surveyors, project managers, specialists, and consultants.
  4. Developing and implementing technical baselines for products and services.
  5. Communicating with manufacturers, suppliers, and vendors to derive market rates.
  6. Responsible for stakeholder relationships and timely delivery of outputs.
  7. Managing performance and supervising teams of individual engineers, quantity surveyors, or other personnel.
  8. Utilizing Project Management and Rate Analysis tools effectively.
  9. Participating in presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  10. Performing other tasks assigned by the Executive Director.

Key Qualifications:

  1. Minimum Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with preferably an MBA or a Master's degree in Project Management or a related discipline.
  2. At least 15 years of work experience in Project Management, Contract Administration, Cost Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, and FIDIC with reputable organizations.
  3. Thorough knowledge of software applications in the construction industry, especially in a web-based environment.
  4. Strong Project Management skills and high proficiency in IT applications.
  5. Familiarity with web-based environments and related software products.
  6. Self-motivated and proactive with strong analytical and design skills.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Ability to work well under pressure and perform irregular hours.
