Senior Linux Administrator Job Summary

We are seeking a senior-level Linux administrator to join our team and lead the management and optimization of our Linux-based systems.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership in Linux system administration, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Develop and implement effective patching methodologies, system updates, and package management strategies to ensure compliance and security.
  • Administer and optimize MySQL and MariaDB databases, including backups, replication, and performance tuning.
  • Oversee VMware environments, including vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter, to ensure efficient resource utilization.
  • Design and implement monitoring tools to track system and application performance, ensuring high availability.
  • Analyze system and application logs, generate reports, and provide insights for proactive issue resolution.
  • Develop and enforce SLAs, tracking system uptime and performance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing technical issues and providing expert support and recommendations.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Linux Administrator in enterprise environments.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Linux distributions such as RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, or Debian.
  • Advanced knowledge of patching methodologies, system updates, and package management (YUM, APT, etc.).
  • Proven expertise in MySQL and MariaDB administration, including backup, replication, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with VMware virtualization technologies, including ESXi, vSphere, and vCenter.
  • Proficiency in monitoring tools like Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, or ELK Stack.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
