Senior Manager: Risk and Compliance Specialist

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and minimizing risk exposure. The Senior Manager will oversee the processing of Production Orders and DOCBO cases, ensure timely submission of responses to authorities, and maintain thorough knowledge of bank products.

About the Role:

• Ensure accurate and timely processing of Production Orders and DOCBO cases.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to streamline processes and escalate potential gaps.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of bank products across all segments.
• Develop and implement improvement plans to meet A3 targets.
• Liaise with LEA as necessary to ensure compliance with DOCBO Cases.
• Perform ad-hoc duties as delegated by Line Manager and Country Head, Servicing & Transacting, Pakistan.

Responsibilities:

1. Carefully examine and process DOCBO cases & queries received from various Authorities in relation to provision of Information / Record against SCBPL account holders.
2. Ensure that every Production order received within cut-off is processed; otherwise, there must be a proper reason against each pending Production order.
3. Follow-up on the pending Production orders and make sure that the targeted TAT (Turnaround Time) is not breached.
4. Act and respond to all queries / instructions received from relevant stakeholders and authorities.
5. Ensure all operational processes are robust and deliver at excellent levels of costs and quality.
6. Manage the maintenance of operational integrity across business within areas of responsibility.
7. Manage potential conflict of interests and priorities of different business operations to ensure optimal business outcomes.
8. Ensure all Key Risk Indicators and Operational Risks are addressed, appropriately dealt with, and resolved.
9. Proactively identify and analyse inherent risks within the department and recommend ways of minimizing risk.
10. Review procedures and systems to suggest improvements and enhancements to current practices.

Risk Management:

• Effectively manage risks and create a robust control environment.
• Coordinating, facilitating and promoting understanding of Operational Risk and its implementation and management of Governance & Control within the Unit.

Governance:

• Ensure that all processes / practices in the Unit comply with Bank's Risk and Compliance procedures to minimize security and risk exposure.
• Formulate improvements in operating procedures to effectively manage risks and create a robust control environment.
• Ensure adherence to all CST (Control Sample Testing) and HCL (Health Checklist).
• Assist in coordinating, facilitating and promoting understanding of Operational Risk and its implementation and management of or within the Unit.
