Job Title:

Critical Care Nursing Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Critical Care Nursing Team Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical nursing, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to provide high-quality patient care.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the supervisor in the day-to-day management of the Inpatient area, providing required clinical and administrative support, teaching and mentoring new staff, meeting with consultants to discuss patient care-related issues, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, assessing patient care and acuity trends, planning and managing unit operations, making staffing arrangements, and ensuring the availability of required supplies, equipment, and resources.

The Critical Care Nursing Team Lead will also be responsible for proposing initiatives to review concepts of Quality Improvement in Nursing Practice (QINP) and implementing required changes in current procedures and practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist supervisor in day-to-day management of Inpatient area
  • Provide clinical and administrative support
  • Teach and mentor new staff
  • Meet with consultants to discuss patient care-related issues
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Assess patient care and acuity trends
  • Plan and manage unit operations
  • Make staffing arrangements
  • Ensure availability of required supplies, equipment, and resources
Requirements:
  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing from an accredited school
  • Valid PNC license
  • American Health Association certification in BLS and ACLS, preferably with Instructor post-basic course in at least one clinical specialty
  • At least three years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in critical care areas
  • In-depth knowledge of nursing policies and processes
  • Good interpersonal skills, particularly communication skills
  • Excellent ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
