About the Position:

This is a remote position that offers an excellent opportunity to support the growth of climate startups and small businesses.

As an Accounting Associate/Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in supporting the CFO business, leading bookkeeping, accounting, and other analytics work for clients. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills and be able to interface with our broader analyst team and company leadership to support other efforts under the CFO and the broader platform.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and at least three years of work experience in bookkeeping/accounting. Relevant work experience with startup or SMB customers is preferred. Detailed knowledge of GAAP in the US, Canada, and Europe is required, as well as experience working in Quickbooks, Excel, Google Sheets, and other comparable platforms.

The ideal candidate will also have strong oral and written communication skills, a CFA Level 1 or more, or ACCA, and preferably experience with venture capital, private credit, banking, or related roles, or past experience working in Climate Change, Sustainability, or related fields.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bookkeeping and Accounting: Establish and maintain a chart of accounts, monthly reconciliation of transactions, manage customer invoices, track payments, and handle collections.
  • Financial Analysis: Support financial analysis and budgeting processes, synthesis of monthly financials into simple reports.
  • Interfacing: Interface with our broader analyst team and company leadership to support other efforts under CFO and the broader Enduring Planet platform.
