Video Editor Position Overview

WRP is seeking a skilled Video Editor to join its team. As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for editing and enhancing video content, resizing videos for various platforms, localizing content for different audiences, and collaborating with the content and marketing teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Video Editing: Edit and enhance pre-existing video content to ensure a polished and professional final product.
  • Resizing Videos: Adjust video dimensions and formats to fit various platforms and requirements while maintaining quality and visual integrity.
  • Localization: Adapt and localize video content for different audiences by adding subtitles, translating text, and modifying graphics as needed.
  • Cut Downs: Create concise cut-down versions of longer videos emphasizing key messages and maintaining viewer engagement.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in all edits including checking for consistency in branding, audio levels, and overall quality.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the content and marketing teams to understand project goals and deliver videos that meet their specifications.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2-4 years of experience in video editing preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in video editing software.
  • Strong understanding of video formats, resolutions, and compression methods.
  • Experience in localization processes and tools is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with motion graphics and basic animation.
  • Experience in audio editing and sound design.
  • Knowledge of current trends in video content and digital media.
