Civil Engineer Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to work with a UK-based firm associated with our company. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a strong background in material quantity takeoffs, cost estimation, tender submission and evaluation, subcontractor management, and team leadership. Experience with solar installation projects is a plus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the UK-based firm on various civil engineering projects.
  • Conduct material quantity takeoffs and cost estimations to ensure accurate calculations and competitive bids.
  • Manage tenders to ensure compliant and competitive submissions.
  • Oversee and manage subcontractors to meet project milestones and quality standards.
  • Provide administrative support, including correspondence, document preparation, and presentations.
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers and construction workers to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders for successful project execution from inception to completion.
Requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Desirable Skills
  • Proficiency in material quantity takeoffs and cost estimation.
  • Understanding of tender processes and evaluation.
  • Ability to manage subcontractors effectively.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Planswift, MS Office, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in drafting.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Experience with project management tools and software.
  • Experience with solar installation projects (Preferred).
