Key Business Growth Position

We are seeking a highly organized and communicative professional to support our federal contracting business as a Business Development Officer. In this role, you will oversee the end-to-end execution process for assigned government contract opportunities, including sourcing subcontractors, developing bid documentation, and coordinating with officials.

This is a remote position ideal for someone with a strong understanding of the U.S. federal procurement process and exceptional relationship-building and documentation skills.

  1. Review federal contract opportunities (RFQs/RFPs) and analyze project requirements to ensure accurate and timely execution.
  2. Source, vet, and build rapport with relevant subcontractors and vendors to establish mutually beneficial partnerships.
  3. Prepare customized Scope of Work documents tailored to subcontractor capabilities to meet specific project needs.
  4. Coordinate necessary documents from subcontractors, such as pricing, licenses, insurance, and certifications to maintain compliance.
  5. Draft or assist in drafting bid proposals, compliance documents, and submission packages to present our company's offerings effectively.
  6. Serve as liaison between the company, subcontractors, and government contracting officers to clarify project scope, expectations, and deadlines to ensure seamless collaboration.
  7. Maintain accurate records of submissions, correspondence, and subcontractor performance to inform future business decisions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in business development, contract administration, or subcontractor management, preferably within U.S. federal contracting.
  • Strong understanding of federal contracting terms, compliance needs, and documentation to ensure adherence to regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and coordinate with multiple parties simultaneously to meet project objectives.
