Data Engineer Job Summary

At Devsinc, we're looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of high-performance data processing systems and data pipelines. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data access and reliability.

Key Accountabilities

  • Data System Design: Design and develop scalable data processing systems and data pipelines to support our business objectives.
  • Collaborative Work: Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to understand data requirements and architecture needs.
  • Data Integrity: Ensure data integrity and security by optimizing data storage and retrieval performance.
  • ETL Process Implementation: Implement ETL processes and automate data workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Data Pipeline Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance to prevent downtime.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation for the data architecture, processes, and workflows.
  • Staying Updated: Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering to contribute to continuous process improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree and Experience: Possess a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with at least 3 years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrate expertise in SQL, NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra), and programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala. Showcase hands-on experience with big data technologies (e.g., Apache Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).
  • Cloud Experience: Exhibit familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and data storage solutions like S3, Redshift, or BigQuery. Display understanding of data modeling, ETL concepts, and data pipeline automation tools.
  • Soft Skills: Showcase excellent communication skills, demonstrated problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
