Job Description

The Aga Khan University Hospital seeks a highly experienced and skilled Manager of Pharmacy Services to lead the pharmacy team in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise the pharmacy team, ensuring staff performance aligns with goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the pharmacy service, enhancing patient care and supporting hospital goals.
  • Oversee assigned pharmacy operations, ensuring efficient medication dispensing, stock management, and patient safety.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure integrated care and services, collaborating on clinical protocols, guidelines, and policies.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, implementing best practices in medication safety and management.
  • Promote the appropriate use of medications, participate in clinical rounds, and contribute to improving patient outcomes.
  • Develop and coordinate educational programs for pharmacy staff and healthcare professionals on drug therapy and patient care protocols.
Requirements
  • PharmD or Bachelor in Pharmacy degree; a relevant Master's Degree in Pharmacy or advanced training in an allied discipline will be given preference.
  • MBA in health management will be considered an advantage.
  • Registered with the pharmacy council in Pakistan.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of progressive professional and supervisory experience in a medium to large hospital, including 3 years in a managerial capacity in a tertiary care academic institution.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to conceive innovative solutions for medication management related issues.
